Since I started working (cutting grass at age 10) I have, in one form or another, been helping people. I have roughly 10 years of working directly with customers. My hobbies include, but are not limited to, playing music (bass and drums) snowboarding and bicycling. I love the beach and water. I grew up in Louisville and lived in upstate NY for 15 years. I graduated from Plattsburgh State University, about 15 miles from Canada, and majored in Geology.

Working with Fast Radios has been a great experience for me. I’m glad to be working with people who love their jobs. I am sort of a jack of all trades and I find the daily challenges of learning about two way radios a great way to spend my work week. We have created a relaxed, casual atmosphere with a strong dedication to customer service.

We are located on the Gulf of Mexico… where else could you wear flip flops to work? My wife Kelly and I have three terrific daughters Bailie, Callie and Sophie. Our home is built on a salt water canal that is a perfect spot for fishing and enjoying our beautiful community. Next up is a boat but the big question is motor boat or sail boat.

I started in the customer service business in 1965 helping accountants with their information updates and then with individuals with their investment monies, real estate needs and even golf lessons as a golf teacher along the way.

Time away from the office is spent traveling and hiking with my wife, reading, and college sports of all kinds.

I’m from Tennessee and attended East Tennessee State U and graduated with a BS in Marketing Management. I went there to play basketball in the ole days when they used real leather balls and stayed in the area for 25 years before migrating to Florida.

I really enjoy the two way radio business and meeting new customers as well as working with my existing customers. I get to help folks with their radio needs and interact with them on a personal level. That extends to the quality of people I get to work with here at Fast Radios. True customer service is everyone’s priority here. That is a breath of fresh air in this electronic age. It’s refreshing. Breathe deep and try us out.

My career has been in sales and customer service. I have been helping customers for over 30 years. My wife Joy Ann and I live in a fabulous resort community that is ideal for year round outside activities. We enjoy the beach, bicycling and the gorgeous architecture and landscaping here in Naples. I also enjoy cooking. By the grace of God my family is Italian and so I usually prepare Italian cuisine. I tend to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put the wine in the food.

Louisville Kentucky was my home for many years. I graduated from the University of Kentucky and still have a lot of family and friends in Kentucky.

Fast Radios is a terrific place to work. Because of our high visibility on the internet we are forever meeting new customers that we can help. Even more important we get to develop long term relationships with our customers. There are new products and improvements in the wireless communications industry happening everyday. We get to introduce our customers to these innovations and help them find what is right for them.

Editor’s note: Manzie and MJ are father and son. Manzie recruited MJ to Fast Radios. It tells a lot about a business when a father wants his son to work with him.

I started in business in January 1985 and have been working directly with customers most of my career.  There have been two jobs where I have been responsible for the training and coaching of people who work directly with customers.

Most of my time outside the office is spent with my family.  My wife Caroline and I have two children; our daughter born in 1997 and our son born in 2002.  I spend some time at school as a Junior Achievement volunteer (see http://www.ja.org/) as well as helping out twice a month at lunch time.  I’m also involved in the leadership at our church.  It’s an exciting time there because we’re growing and have a building campaign under way.  My wife and I and the two kids are all training at different levels of TaeKwonDo.  I was promoted to 1st Degree Level Two Black Belt in July 2007.  I enjoy travel, the beach, playing with the kids, and movies.  I’m also a big fan of college athletics and motor racing.

I’m from Fort Wayne, Indiana.  I graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Telecommunications.  Caroline and I moved to Florida after we were married in 1993.  I started in the two-way radio business in 1997 and formed Fast Radios in 2003.

The commercial two-way radio business, or Land Mobile Radio as it’s called, is a fun business.  What really makes our company a fun place though is the people.  I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work with good people who are serious about taking care of the customer.  And we have a growing group of customers who tell us every day that our philosophy of “say what you mean and do what you say” is real important to them.  I buy products and services locally and from across the country and I’m sick and tired of receiving poor customer service.  That’s why I’m dedicated to making Fast Radios as “customer friendly” as it can possibly be.
